They expresstrucktax are actually pissing me off to the point of dropping them this year with a short note sent to them that I went with somebody else due to their ... how to put mildly? ... bothering, soliciting assholeness.
-
Because if the irs "loses" my 2290 in the mail I am screwed. Also hard to wait until the last minute filling it out and mailing it to them
-
Why would they loose it. You should have a canceled check to prove they got it.
You can wait until the last minute to mail, as long as its postmarked by midnight July 31, you're good to go. I always send it in the first of July though, you've got to pay it anyway, I just as soon get it over with.Meade Trucking, DougA and TallJoe Thank this. -
You are right! I'll just do it on the last day.
It is not like I need to have the stamped 2290 with me in the truck? If I do need it, however, then an online service is the only option. -
You don't need the stamped 2290 in your truck. It's used for proof to the state you're renewing your tags in,that you've paid your federal hut.42 years mine never got lost in the mail.
Meade Trucking and TallJoe Thank this. -
I just used express tax and was very impressed
-
Just did mine on Express truck tax com. Well worth the $10.00. Last year I sent my form like I have through out the years and they cashed my check. But guess what ? The stamped form never arrived. So this year and from now on, in doing E-file.

I personally use truckdues.com I believe it's $7.99 and its instant.
-
