Let us know how that tri-mag mount works. I love the gripping power of that design. I can't use one cause I remove my antennas after each use and don't believe I could remove it easily enough to be practical. You should be able to find a strong enough antenna now. If not, screw a flag pole into it. Just be careful you don't wrinkle the roof.![]()

I'll let you know. I think it will be good. Even my k40 got good range up there.

This thing isn't moving and that little fire stick is no challenge for it. You can mount any antenna on this. 3ft firestick and a swr of 1.3Blaskowitz Thanks this. -
Ran the coax down the back of the cab then up a hole in the storage then under the floor rubber and door sill.

That's really good SWR from the little three-foot glass stick. But that mighty quad is calling for more meat in the air to justify its legendary holding power. It'll take two men and a crowbar to get that thing off the roof.
Blaskowitz and Fold_Moiler Thank this. -
Yeah I got the antenna first lol.
I might throw a Wilson trucker antenna on there. I'll give it a while though, this thing actually works really good.
It's still under 13'6", I parked next to a van trailer and the antenna was lower so I shouldn't be wacking too many objects.Last edited: Aug 31, 2017
