Broke Down 69...The Adventure Continues

Hey almost forgot about this. on the news, reports of like 80 to 90 earthquakes in Idaho over the last few days. Started on Sunday.

Up around Soda Springs area.

Thats getting a bit strange.

 

Two trucks wrecked on MY routes tonight...apparently had tooo good of a weekend. Can't find the footage.... just be safe, man.

I couldn't agree more. I have done it both ways and factory installed Apu's could be the biggest fleecing in all of trucking. It is impossible to beat the reliability of a properly installed Honda or Yamaha gas generator at a third of the price. For a o/o it only makes sense. I can understand why big companies don't want their flip flops handling gas around trucks but dang. My experience is they are 12 grand worth of unreliable garbage. Give me a Honda and a inverter and I can figure out the rest. Lol

 

This is the a/c unit I'm using, just different brand.

Fighting summer heat.

I paid $600 on Amazon for mine. I also bought a 3400 watt champion inverter generator. It had as good of reviews as the Honda & Yamaha for half the price. So for $1500 I've got an APU even though I have to use gasoline. I'm putting an extended run tank on it so I should only have to get fuel once a week.

 

Ran the gorge on Saturday, Washington side, it's cheaper... Looked good that day.
Southern Oregon had 138 closed because of fire. Smoke in part from Oregon to Missoula.

 

On the fires also watch out for the I 84 around troutdale they closed it yesterday fire jumped the Columbia from Or to Wa

 

I still have that itch. Thought about taking the bossman's BIG Pete and heading to do recon myself. Three tragedies needing us, and I'm just hauling 'pavement.' I feel ya.
