Would you agree that a straight truck is worse than a tractor trailer?
Because of the weight on the steering tires?

    Also.... What tires?
    Winter tires?
    Chains?
Make sure you get good tires with tread and more important, siping?
At the very least. Make sure you have good siping?

I know what I've done in a straight truck.

Yes. Tires with siping is very important. We run the Michelin XDS2 tire with excellent results.

You are correct, a loaded truck will have better traction and control abilities than an empty truck.

I'm talking about a straight truck.... trash, concrete, dump... no trailer. Versus a tractor trailer.

I know all about the weight problem on the steering wheels in a straight truck. 7 years experience.
