Swift Academy 2017

    Hey just wanted to give the 411 on Swift Academy(Memphis) as of August 2017 because I know I had a ton of questions so here you go to anyone that is curious.......
    Day 1- logging, mapping, and they check your permit, drivers license, and as card. 6am to 4pm
    Day 2- book work 10 chapters and the tests for each and also physicals/drug test..6am to 4pm long long day
    Day 3- on the range learning to stright line back and testing on stright line
    Day 4- re tests on stright line/ contract goes into effect/ pre trip walk through
    Day 5- in cab walk through....afternoon instructer test you on in cab....
    Days 6 and 7....off
    Day 8-12.. Walk through on parallel, off set, and 90 and then practice them all week
    Days 13 and 14...off
    Days 15-19.... On the road
    Days 20 and 21....off
    Days 22-26....testing

    26 days of training! They really beefed up the program, which is wonderful. Mind if I ask what the cost is? I was there for about 10 days and I think it ran me about $2500. I stayed with them, so I only paid half.

    No. I'd quit smoking now if you ever want to get a driving job. No one is going to recognize a medical card anywhere.

    Not sure, I believe both urinalysis and hair follicle are done. It would be the safest assumption.
