The "correct" or right answer here is: There is no correct or right answer because not everyone agrees on the same definitions about what is a good rate and what is not.

FWIW: arguing on the internet is about as mature as not sharing your animal cookies.

Funny there was a conversation about this I was having today. What I was told is you report them for nonpayment at 30 days to ITS, DAT, and 411 and tell them that's what you're doing. They don't like that you'll get a check. Just make sure you also report you did get paid. Quit cutting these liars slack. 30 days means 30 days.

unfortunately the small operators can't operate on such small margins and that's whats knocking out the industry.

Payment terms might be 45 or 60 days. Did you sign a broker packet/contract? Are the payment terms spelled out? If terms are 30 days, call them to see if the check is in the mail. If not, call the bond holder and you will generally get results quick. Perhaps even a conference call with the three parties and a payment agreement then and there.

Is it a Canadian broker? They use the metric system. When you do the conversion, 30 days is 45 days.

Yeah and then add the Canada post factor
Anywhere from 5 to 10 extra business days for international mail...

Not that the US mail system has the best reputation either....lol..
