Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

The days of getting an OTR driving job because the driver does NOT want a supervisor looking over his or her shoulder are about forever gone.
This is TRULY & GENUINELY a sad state of affairs.
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!mathematrucker and foggy Thank this. -
Fed Ex Ground was supposedly making their contractors put them in. My truck got one put in just before I left. My old boss asked me if the camera was the reason for me leaving. I told him it was not as me leaving had been in the works for months prior, it took that long to find the right fit for what I wanted the next stage in my career to look like. But, I did tell him that if I hadn't already been looking for another job prior to the camera I would have been after it was installed. I covered mine up for the week I had it
-
I would probably leave also. Those driver facing cameras really are an absolute invasion of privacy.

I've seen FedEx Ground trucks that didn't have those. Is it required for all their trucks, or just the T/T's?
-
-
I do not know the answer to that question as I left the week after the camera went in so I didn't bother to ask any questions
-
As of now it is required in all trucks. Inward & Outward.
Along with several other "safety" oriented policies newly implemented in the new contacts.
CURRENTLY - FedEx Ground itself does not have access to the cameras or recorded events. They have to go through the contractors for that when there's an accident. I have a feeling that too will eventually change. The days of "random audits" aren't far off and Fedex is about the perfect company to start doing it. FedEx is one company that is not afraid to reign down on the little guys with all the power they've got -
Not to mention they have some of the worst drivers on the road. The stuff I witnessed even in the yards there made me shake my head.Ethen1987 and CasanovaCruiser Thank this.

I'm out of a pretty small yard so I don't see much idiotic behavior but I've noticed at the major hubs, Atlanta, Chicago especially there are some real questionable people. The team drivers seemed the worst.
