My husband and I are currently enrolled in CDL school and as we get closer to graduating we are trying to decide which company to go with. We are seriously considering Schneider but we would like some feedback as to what kind of pay we can expect for a new husband and wife team get. My husband has searched the internet to death to find this out but is having no luck! If anyone has any experience with Schneider teaming please give us some feedback. We greatly appreciate it!

Where is your location? Do you have endorsements?
The reason I'm asking is because if you're near an Old Dominion terminal, husband/wife teams can make $225K per year. They do hire new cdl grads.

Thanks for the response. We both got our TWIC and working on our Hazmat, Doubles and Tanker before finishing class.

I'm currently going through schneider'a 18 day program in Indianapolis and will try and give you a little insight on what I've seen and heard so far. I am not running teams but from what I heard from my roommate who is running teams is .41 cents a mile. I have ran into quite a few teams around the OC and they've all seemed pretty happy and said Schneider is a great place to work just to stick it out because the first couple months can be a bit overwhelming just like any career change. The training out here for new cdl holders has been top notch and very very professional so far. I felt like a decent driver before I came here but I wouldn't of wanted to hit the road without this training. .

A few of the cons: no apu's, no idling between 30? And 70, and most do not have inverters at this time but I'm being told some of the newer ones are getting them. If you have any other questions feel free to shoot me a message or I'll check back here as often as I can.

OK, Richmond is good. Several Old Dominion Freight Lines terminals in VA and that's where I'd start if I were in your situation. Google and see where the terminals are. Husband/wife teams are gold in trucking and you can make $225K with Old Dominion.
Also, Abilene Motor Express right there in Richmond will probably hire you to run teams. I understand they've picked up lots of business in California, some of it produce coming back to the east coast. Their trucks run 71 mph.
Quest Global runs California and loves husband/wife teams. The website has 3 mos. experience required, but they cut slack on that for husband/wife teams.
    Also look at :
Freymiller-hires new grads under their "Restore Program"
Danny Herman Trucking ; no northeast and lots of southern California.
Celadon - .60 cpm for teams
TWT Refrigerated Service - .60 cpm for teams

    gentleroger Thanks this.

Thanks for all of that info! All good stuff to know and typically things the recruiters don't openly tell you. Appreciate the feedback!

I've heard great things about ODFL but I had heard you need at least 1 yr experience. Definitely worth filling out an application just to see where it gets me. I had not done any homework on those other companies, so I really appreciate that info! I'll check them out! Thanks much!
