I have a Blue Parrot B250 XT and a Blue Tiger Elite. The Parrot is much more comfortable and easier to throw on when the phone rings. The Tiger is easier to hear in the noisy cab, but my wife complains about the audio quality. Apparently the boom mic isn't all that great.

I had exact same thing happen. Ist 1 I would handle carelessly, after a few years, when it came apart I bought a new blue parrot. Nothing like the old one.wish I would if kept my old one and just soldered it back together. Sound quality on new one sucks.

After thinking I was saving myself money by purchasing the $20-$30 headsets, I gave up and got the Blue Parrot B350-XT. It costs a little more, but the quality is far superior.

So far the blue parrot s-450xt is great. The volume level in the ear piece is fantastic. Also everyone I talk to says I'm so clear on my end, and they hear no noise in the background. I have loud straight pipes and with the windows down everyone can hear me and I can hear them. I love that. Battery life is great. Charge it about once a week and I'm on the phone a lot. Only down side is that I can't wear it all day like the Plantronics and not know it's there. After every call I take it off, unlike the plantronics, which I forget I'm wearing it. Other thing is ear piece will make your ear sweat after a long phone call.

That's what I use with the charger case. It's small and out of the way, but I can be here in the LOUDEST trucks with no problem.

This isn't an option for everyone, but for all you guys (or gals) that are hard of hearing these days and have considered doing something about it...... Don't waste your money that "Miracle Ear" stuff or any other cheap solution you see advertised on TV. They aren't cheap anyway and you'll just get taken.

Go see someone reputable. By that I mean someone with the letters "MD" behind their name. They will determine your exact hearing loss and provide hearing aides tuned specifically to the frequency losses in each ear.

Now the part pertinent to this topic....

They make these things called Receiver In Canal hearing aides. You can't even feel them. They're rather hard to see and often the only part people notice is the tiny, clear wire snaking into your ear canal.

And.... And....... And.................. They're bluetooth compatible with your phone. :)

A bit pricey at around $4500 a pair, but if your intent was to re-claim your hearing, you won't ever need any headset.

Just an FYI for any of you old guys who've thought about fixing your ears.

For $4500.00, my ears are just find at 56, even though I've been told to get a hearing aid.
