i was offered a job from werner today subject to my successfully completing driving school. they said i would go to orientation for two days then train 300 hrs split in half making 325.00 wk the first 150 hr and 350 the second 150 hr with a week off in between. i know companies want to weed out the good from the bad but good golly that amounts to $8.13 an hr per 40 hr starting out. seems like after passing school and all the studying and tests and the responsibility one has driving a semi, you would start out a tad bit more than one would at mcdonalds.![]()
Werner offered me a job-good or bad?

I think you answered your own question. Welcome to trucking at it's worst. Have you read the posts on here about them? Sorry but I don't think you did.
Drive safebowmeyer1 Thanks this. -
What makes you say that. I read the posts on here about Werner and I'm still going with them.
-
That's pretty much standard at all of the companies. We had several recruiters at my school and they all said the same thing. If you have any other questions about Werner let me know. I am off to orientation in Omaha tomorrow.

Werner is a good starter Company. You'll get something better after 6 months to a year experience. Stay away from tickets and accidents and you will do fine!
