The bs with the Poplar Street Bridge never ends. Luckily I work right off of 70 so the Musial is the only bridge I ever take to and from IL. I never understood back in the 80's or even the 90's why they didn't renovate the MacArthur Bridge and put it back into operation. Would have seriously eased congestion in the city with the addition of a ramp or two. As it stands, it's a ####### setup like Pittsburgh where every major highway converges all onto the same bridge, minus the Musial...

Man i went through there for the 1st time 2 days ago running an over gross permit came in 70 to 64 to 44 and 24. Pretty cool going threw the ozarks. Those bridges sucked but in a heavy frame-heavy spec oilfield truck didn't phase it

What the heck happened to modot ?
I started my career with an AB distributor in north Dakota running the st Lou brewery in the late 80s and always thought modot did well in the st Louis area ...well other than the bridge crossings lol

There's nothing wrong with them. They got the new I64 project done under budget and 6 months early so they are plenty capable of doing good work. The ramp thats being replaced is way over due for it and they have no other options except to close it down there's no room to build anywhere else. The problem with the bridges is that they have to work with IL DOT which is another matter all together.

KC won that Series anyways, despite the thing Cards fans complain about. They could've come back and took the games after that, but nope. So the best team still won in my humble and biased opinion. Lol.
