Is it a public forum or it's a reinforcement club for your kind? If you like to flatbed, you like it, it is your preference. I was addressing folks who like to maximize their income per hours worked or to minimize their work per dollar earned while spending more time at home. And FAK flatbed jobs just do not cut it in those regard. You cannot self delude yourself to the point of denial of the obvious.

I know where the ignore button is. And, of you don't like flatbed work, why are you in the flatbed section?
That'd be like me going to the tanker section and telling guys not to pull tanker.

Sure you don't. You invest all the energy into creation of a soothing bubble validating your choices. Why bother? If you like to flatbed you do not need to defend your preferences, you just like it no matter what. If you call me a liar because my data point does not fit your ideas about how things work, it means repressed doubts.

Public service. It is a warning to the newbies who get skewed ideas about the job after reading flatbed fans like yourself. A person new to trucking automatically assumes that one makes more if one works more. Unfortunately and unjustly it is not the case in trucking. And people like yourself bear their share of blame.

I just don't believe you make that much more pulling a van over a flat, if you do you weren't doing to good with open deck.

I've been a proud window licker for quite some time as most of the guys in this thread can attest.

However, I've never felt the need to produce "data points" proving why my preference is better than my flatbed brothers here.

In fact, BD69er didn't start this thread to prove anything, he just figured he'd invite voyeuristic dudes like me, with nothing better to do, to come along for the ride.

MR. PPS, watch it, man. Even though this is an open forum, be careful answering questions no one is asking, that's very assuming, and I'm sure you know what the acronym ASSume stands for ;-)

Agreed. I'm not too far behind the Mark either. Tanking along.

Holy hell, this dude's a piece of work.

Ok guy, let me say youre entitled to your opinion, however wrong it may be. Now bugger off before you end up banned. Go lick a window or bump a dock and sit there for 6 hours, i dont care...just get lost.
