Even the oilfield Trucking is definitely not what it was.

You still get those guys that you can tell just quit drinking an hour before work started and can barely function and just spend all shift sleeping and avoiding work and drinking five or six energy drinks and still come crashing off it. I met some cool people and made a few friends but I thought Trucking was bad there's even more low-hanging fruit in Frac. There's a lot of ######## trying to throw people under the bus and they're all trying to outdo each other who knows more and how long they've been doing this and that.

I'm with you guys 100 percent. Was at Sysco for a year then quit to do Frac work at bj services. What a mistake. I'd much rather be running Ramps of food into restaurants then Frac work. Anyday

Sysco is where I'm going back to. I worked there a year too.

Would that be running a shuttle driver position? What would Sysco be paying annually these days?

Agree completely, been in the oil field for just about ten years and the changes in just that amount of time are unreal. Don't even get folks waving back on the highway anymore

No going back on a route. Last time I was there they did have shuttle positions but now the guy is coming out the routes got those.

At least with frac you got a schedule not a hr to get to the yard when a rig calls. Frac hands are dime a dozen, a good pump operator is rare. Cement is way more demanding

I don't think id switch over to frac id never get to drive. And running an airslide is another skill to have.

When my dad was working for superior well services/nabors they had old Halliburton equipment picked from the bone yard, like 2 stroke Detroit old.

When I worked at Nabors Drilling we had a derrickhand that went the whole 2 week hitch without showering. He got ran out of Cash Wise in Watford for being so nasty. He would pass out on the couch at camp after drinking a liter of black velvet and taking an Ambien. You could see the stench coming off his feet. Flies wouldn't even bother this guy.
