Tequila, rum, whiskey, wine, nobody cares and nothing special. Just show up on time.
But haul toothpaste and deodorant for Glaxo Smith Kline. Now that's another matter. Pictures of the load, pictures of the seal, seal log, sign that you have half a tank of fuel, security call procedure and 200 miles before the first stop.
Very high value load...

Quit telling generalized lies.
I could march you down Preble St. in Portland and show you folks who use neither. But a handle of Allen's Coffee Brandy falls off the truck.... that is NOT an opportunity missed. -
The only time I've ever had a seal other than a plastic one was a bolt seal when I was carrying glass jars for food products across from Canadia to the US. Otherwise an abloy 340 is a good deterrent. Then again I can count the dry van/reefer loads I've hauled on two hands. My multi-million dollar loads are just covered by tarps.

Judging by the foul smell coming from some of the drivers I end up standing in line behind, everyone doesn't use deodorant.Last edited: Aug 31, 2017
KillingTime, 91B20H8, TennMan and 1 other person Thank this. -
Maybe something like this? Driver might be in hot water for this one.

Had a big load one time of 2 whole skids. McDonalds Monopoly game stuff. Dang they took security seriously.
That's the only load I've ever hauled that wasn't scrap paper.
KillingTime Thanks this. -
This is what happens when you go with the cheapest vendor or let the office administrator make the decision on who to use.
$13,000,000
Oops.
Yeah, Schneider wouldn't be the first choice.
.drvrtech77 and TennMan Thank this. -
My bet the driver showed up and no one knew anything. The computer wasn't crated, they didn't have a forklift, and they left gaps in the trailer. They didn't even have paperwork ready for the load.
Who the heck puts a one of a kind $13 million piece of electronics on a spring ride trailer? AND DOESN'T PURCHASE INSURANCE? Next they'll want to use USPS to mail a Degas.
Schneider definitely has some skin in this but come on. -
How do they know son don't buy air rides?..I'm quite sure son don't tell anyone..
