Well, once we finish up a couple small items on the trailer, I'm going to have to force some sleep so I can head to Wyoming to pick up a load headed to Virginia. Then ill be looping between the Port of Baltimore and Mt. Hope, WV carrying pipe for the Keystone Pipeline. This is the work I brought with me to build this thing up. There is better paying freight but this is steady, predictable income. My thinking is that this is the best option for a year or so. Go with the known money and don't try to hit the lottery again and again. Besides, it ain't like it's cheap freight, it still pays pretty darn good.

Well my last couple days have been hectic. Monday morning, got up and got over to the receiver after a long weekend spent hanging out in my truck. When I pull in I get yelled at "Didn't ya see the sign? Park on the road then walk in to check in!!"
Nope. One was too small to read from the truck, the other was hidden in the bushes. Back out, get parked, get checked in, yard dog tells me where to drop my trailer, and that they'll take care of my tarps. Pull back in, drop my trailer, pull my own straps (didn't want them rolled up on my winches, not how we roll), and pull back out and wait. Bring my trailer back out to me, and my tarps are a total abortion.
No where to re-roll them, so I do the TMC unthinkable: strap them to the deck and roll to the next customer. Thank god they had lots of room, so chore one: unf--- my tarps and stow them proper. Thank goodness it was a drop and hook on a preload. But with the time spent waiting on the unload, it put me behind my clock. Got that one unloaded, then trip out to the boondocks of Ohio for a load of sand. And now I'm out of hours, 6 1/2 hours from the NEXT customer. After a good paying week, of course I get a crappy scheduling week....Attached Files:

They want you to drop a flatbed and they remove the tarps? Sounds like a good way to end up with torn tarps.Broke Down 69, G13Tomcat and cke Thank this.

Well, I'm underway. Staging myself to be at the shipper bright and early so I can start back east to Virginia...then Baltimore.
Truck runs good and strong but is a little sensitive to wind. Of course I'm running empty at the moment, a good load is sure to help that little issue.
