But officer I wasn't smuggling this stuff on purpose my income was too low to pay my bills and I was taking advantage of my environment ( truck driver) .. what's the difference you crossed the line once and how's a company supposed to believe you won't again but in a different manner..

Which state are you in? Some temp services hire cdl-A drivers. You can try that until the court thing is over. You're hirable so that's not the problem. The problem is you haven't gone to court yet and companies don't want to take a chance on you missing work or being on another coast, then all of a sudden have to appear in court. Apply to temp services and also the companies I listed and hope for the best.

You're background check will probably be clean at this point because you haven't even been to court yet. You can probably do a few California team runs with Carolina Cargo then see what happens after court. They may fire you and they may not. Many of their drivers are ex-cons so it's not like they look for drivers wearing halo's over their head. Apply and tell them you want some California runs. That's what they do; west coast turnarounds, never stopping.Last edited: Sep 22, 2017
