I don't think I've ever seen a virgin tire do that. What kind is it, and don't say that Chinese crap.
-
You were very lucky not to have a blow out when that tire decided to cut loose!
sxdime Thanks this. -
a little dab of Gorilla glue, and you're good to go, don't you have any in your tool kit?
seriously, i had a steer tire with a HUGE bulge one time, lucky for me, it was in my company yard.
it was a fairly new goodyear if i recall. and it got replaced with another goodyear, as that's all the garage we have'em serviced at has in stock. -
It got the fender a little bit.It was rather quick. A quick vibration, the smell of rubber and I hit the shoulder

NEVER! I will not run them. It was a Bridgestone R283A 295/75/22.5Terry270 Thanks this.

Yeah, well Bridgestone would be hearing from me! I've had recaps do that all the time, but a virgin? Peel the whole tread off? Call Hupy and Abraham, right now. ( oh Bill, you were once Capt. Kirk for heavens sake, look what you're reduced to) -
There is a Bridgestone rep that is suppose to come by and get in. Unfortunately I didn't have any room to tote it around with me. The manager at the shop said not to expect anything from them though which I already knew. Back in the 275/70/22.5 days we had lots of guys blowing them (and still do) and Michelin nor Bridgestone would stand behind them. They always blamed it on the equipment/ tire pressure etc etc.201 Thanks this.
