I would say you can do both but just as long as you don't mind getting your butt kicked.
I was a boxer from age 14 to 20. I trained under Rich Giachetti(deceased) in Cleveland Ohio.
Boxing requires a much higher Fitness level than you will ever maintain while you have a regular job as a truck driver. I'm 58 now and I spend just short of 14 hours a day driving my truck and loading or unloading cars.
The only difference between me and regular driver's is I get a lot more walking exercise then the rest of them. I also have a jump rope that I use from time to time. Most of the time I don't really have time to go to the fitness route because of all the hours I put into my job.
I had a lot of potential when I was young but I went down a few wrong roads when I was young and dumb like many others. I used to train hard for about 10 hours a day. I even used to get up in the middle of the night and run two extra miles and then come home and go back to bed. I did this because I knew the other guys weren't doing it. I was taught that the guy who deserves to win is the one who trained the hardest.
So I would highly recommend choosing between the two remembering that everything worth having in this world requires sacrifice and boxing is definitely no exception.
Good luck with whatever decision you make.
