Watch Out !

I was driving my pickup with the window down and a bee somehow managed to hit me stinger first. Wasn't a big one, but it still hurt for a bit.

 

It always amazes me how dudes ride with no helmets on their scooters. Those bugs hurt!

 

You got hit with a quarter the size of a fly?

 

Preaching to the choir.
On my first long road trip, I had a full face helmet and a leather jacket on. I took a hit from a bug in the inner thigh that felt like a paintball gun at point blank range. Painful! Now, on long road trips, I wear chaps too. I hate chaps. BUT, they do protect the legs from bug hits, so I wear them.

Was riding with a friend on a hundred mile run highway speed. I'm running full leather, my friend is on his RoadGlide with no leather and a novelty helmet. He got hit in his bare arm (right arm) and let go his throttle suddenly. We were riding in a group staggered and he let go of the throttle, that compression braking slowed him down so quickly that the others behind him had to evade him. When we stopped, he apologized to everyone and showed the welt he got.

 

I got hit in the face by a bat at 80mph. Lucky I was on the highway with no their cars: took me across to the other lane.

Next morning I saw my mother, first thing she says (before I mentioned it) was how bats are getting some type of fungus on their face that messes up their echolocation- went n washed my face with bleach immediately.
