Who says you have to come here, or anywherefor that matter, and bad mouth them just because YOU had a bad experience? I had a less than wonderful experience with a carrier recently and have shared my experience but have not "bad-mouthed" the company because I saw it as MY experience. That doesn't mean others haven't had better experiences. In fact, many have.

I am not patting myself on the back but just trying to make a point that this site would have the ultimate value to searching drivers that the founders desire it to have if people would come on here and report THEIR experience with a company without stereotyping the company or the industry. There are certain posters on here that you wonder why they are still in the trucking industry with the way they feel about it.

My understanding of the purpose of this site is for individuals who have had experience to come on here and share THEIR experience, good or bad. Give the facts of the situation WITHOUT all the drama and then a prospective driver can come and read honest, non-inflated stories, good and bad, about the company(s) they are considering to make the decision that is best for them.

So, go to the company you chose to go to. If they treat you well, come on here and let people know. If there are some issues to be aware of, come on here and let people know. If you don't like the company and they treat you poorly, come on here and share the FACTS of YOUR situation (and keep in mind it is your exerience and opinion which may or may not be true across the board--and it is usually NOT true across the board for all drivers) and let others considering that company make the decision as to whether your experience would stop them from considerig that company. Keep in mind that if we all liked the same company and there was only ONE company tha would meet everyone's needs, there would only be one trucking company out there.

hey pawpaw i agree with you but that is not the way it is in these forums, as you can read everybody has something to say, good, bad or what ever, i am just trying to get more scoop on these companies. theres more then just one peson saying the samething about these companies, and believe me i will choose the way i want but sometimes it good to hear what people have to say. So with that being said i am still looking for pros and cons with Prime and Millis.:biggrin_25511:

thanks speedy, i have heard alot of people loosing there #$$ with the lease option. I don't understand why the company would make you go that route if people just loose there #$$. is like they set you up to fail. to me that is a dishonest company that don't give a $#!^ about anyone but them selfs. thanks:biggrin_25510:

from what i could take from it all...is you could make money from lease back when they set it up but they aint updated it....kinda like not gettin a cost of livin raise if that makes any sense.....there lease department is kinda behind times so to speak but they will still get there $$$ for truck payment fuel and such which puts you on the negative side of thangs....not to mention if you have the credit or a good co signer you could got buy your own truck for half of what you pay at prime

    HideyHo MrBig,

I talked to a Prime Recruiter for the 3rd time :yes2557: and am also preapproved, she says "let me know when and I will get you a bus ticket to oreintation"

Since I already have my cdl-a and all endorsements except Hazmat,
AND since all the other companies are turning me down because I just graduated from a driving school, and they cant make any money by sending me to there school, or they are not hiring right now, or I dont live in there hiring area, or, or , or , or , or

    :biggrin_25516::biggrin_25516::biggrin_25516:

I am ready to call Prime back and get my ticket so I can at least get some experience for when the economy gets better, to bad I have to find that if there are ANY good posts for Prime they are all in the "Bad truck companies" forums.

So are you approved to go to there Orientation? and then start driving for the 60,000 miles as a team like they told me ?:biggrin_25510:

Right now I just want a job and I think Prime looks better than CR England. What does everyone else think ?

sorry nomad i ment preapproved. as far as going to prime or millis, i'm still up in arms about this situation if i go with prime the training is a very long time before i get into my own truck (3-6 months) then they will try to make you go l/o which i hear that is not the way to go right now:biggrin_25512:. so if your going to do anything i would go company driver, any reefer company is pretty good as long as people are eating you'll be driving. (i think that sounds right):biggrin_25511: Now as far as millis they train you from the start. i will be in my truck alot sooner making money.:biggrin_25525: i am scheduled for millis jan. 12th 2009. but if i make the call to prime they will send the ticket and i will start on a tuesday,(classes run every tuesday):biggrin_25520::biggrin_25518:

    Hey MrBig,
Well, I will be making money right off with Prime since I already have my CDL, I will just have to get in 60,000 truck miles with the trainer and will go solo, I have no intent of Leasing for at least a couple of years. My CDL Instructor says you need at least 2 years to learn the roads, timing and where The Truckstops are for fueling. He has been a company and O/O before going to work instructing at the college.
Maybe see you around, I have to decide by Monday.

    Good luck and good Roads:biggrin_25515:

Prime is a terrible company to work for, Millis is one of the few semi-large companies that still treats a driver with some decency and respect. If you want to stay east of the big river, you'll have no problem there.
