    Well a little back story before the result.. a new officer came to my unit and told us he was a lawyer in case anyone needed help so I jumped to the opportunity, and I explained the situation, he gave me a cease and desist letter to take to DMV as last resource.. walked in there yesterday nj dmv still claiming that I owed tickets in Pennsylvania I showed them the letter 15 minutes later the "ticket" disappeared...

    Amazing that all the time and aggravation you've put into this, and one stupid piece of paper and voilà, problem solved. At least it's over. Next time you're at DMV, you should have them pull your 10 year history and see what's on there.

    Nj DMV its the worse a friend of mines had his registration suspended last year because someone forgot to process the payment and he still had to pay reinstatement fee because of course it wasn't their fault.

    Sounds typical unfortunately. Whoever gave you the cease and desist letter, get their business card and put it somewhere safe. Hopefully you will never need it.
