The display locks up when the voltage goes below 10.5 FYI I have shut off everything including dashboard lights on phone chargers everything I could in the cab I shut it off. Not sure where my voltage sense since I can't look at the display but I made it to the shop so thank you for all your help

Well the 5 amp fuse was blown so upon replacing it it immediately blew again. So now we are in the process of hunting for a grounded out wire. We just put brand new batteries in the truck and it's only putting out 12.2 volts btw
uncleal13 Thanks this. -
okay it ended up being a bad alternator! But I got new batteries, and another new alternator. Regardless thanks to all of you for your knowledge.

When my a/c is on my voltage goes from 14.0 down to 13.9 volts.
However when I first got my truck it operated at 14.5 volts and would drop almost a full volt. On my Cascadia there is a fuse called "remote sense" for the alternator. I found it was blown, after I replaced it I now get the more stable voltages.
I don't know if your Volvo has that fuse.MARTIN76 Thanks this.
