Lots of the largest mega carriers have "former drivers" in executive upper management and ownership positions. So now, consider that most of the current HOS rules we are now operating under were promoted by this same mega carrier consortium. So, why do you think seasoned drivers or trucking company executives are going to helpful in such a position?

Trump had zero on his resume to make him qualified for POTUS, but people did not seem to have a problem with that 11 months ago ... but then again, he ran against the worst possible opposition candidate, so I'm not sure what to read into my earlier statement.

 

Does not matter if he knows what the inside of a truck looks like. He knows how much money can be generated from vehicle licensing/registration etc and Trump could use some extra coin to deal with Rocket Man.

Has anybody bothered to check the CFR website to see if the new guy is on the membership list? Trump's already nominated a few unsavory characters from that list to his cabinet.
