    replaced batteries and xy shifter still gets stuck in gear after I took to dealer need help.Engine ecu code pops up haven't replaced tires of throwing money at this thing...

    Make sure all your powers and grounds are good and clean, and I mean not just at the batteries, but also at the trans power harness. Most Eatons have a 40 amp fuse to power it. Make sure it is clean and tight. If all looks ok there, you'll likely need a new X-Y shifter.

    Got 2004 vnl, every time battery connection gets loose I get ecu.
    Then it goes away. Good luck
