They usually charge $1.00 per horsepower, so if your truck is 370hp and you want 450hp, it'll cost you $450.

I was once advised of not doing so. Anyway, I went from 400 to 450 hp on my ISX but ever since I've been very gentle on the boost to the point of doubting if there was any point of doing it. I did try to test it a few times, anyway, but did not see any staggering improvements of what was there before. I don't know how much it was - a few hundred maybe, it was a part of other things I did that day.

Yeah they like the power box but even the owner says a tune is better...
No delay of ecu geeting req info
No dirty signals = faster responce..
I did same idea on a bike goin from something called a power commander to a woolich raceing tune..
Tuneing direct to ecu wins hands down but only draw back is if a dealer gets into it for any reason, they can totally delete that tune with their over write..
Power box is a piggy back system and as we all know,if there is an issue look at electrical connections 1st..
A pb is only gonna give the results based on what stocker ecu info gets sent in the 1st place..If crap goes in,guess what comes out..Mid you its still a great idea but if given a choice....
I would buy a 2nd ecu incase trk goes into a dealer and keep original with tune installed and swap as needed..
Thats what i do in my pick up to..
