can someone name this please

    i typed in ecm port, reader etc. you name it. nothing comes up. the pin is missing and my elog wont read it no more. location etc. id kike to buy obe before i go to mechanic and id rather not go to dealer looking like a tool. 2012 cascadia.

    I don't believe all pins are supposed to be there. A good chance it's your elog. I'd try it on another truck to make sure it works.

    only 1 pin is missing. thats what i assumed what was wrong. but i will try it np. i do get a check light ecm code at start but it goes away after 2 seconds and it worked b4 so thats why i assumed it was port. thx for reply

    I'd check your diagnostic connector fuse.

    that pin is E can/j1939 shield. it's not wired on 2012. just checked on my truck. no pin.

    There's nothing wrong with the DIAG port. All pins necessary are there.

    If you're questioning it functioning, then get out your multi meter.

    What voltage do you get with A-B? What do you get with A-C? What do you get with A-D?...

    by multimeter you can check only voltages not actual readiness of data transmission
