I hate Loves with a passion. Crowded fuel islands and not a soul at the fuel desk. I avoid the worst of worst ofcthem ar all cost. That said I buy a lot of fuel from them. My old truck seems to like it.

I understand the allure of free food using them love points.

Check this out though, now I am certain you are maxed out as the Loves diamond status customer. You get four cents for every gallon of fuel. Now I will also assume you fuel a Whole lot each month, 2000 gallons even. All together that is $80 in store credit you will be making there each month. An extra $960 each year even, not too bad I got to agree.

Now think of this. How many times can you recall missing your delivery by 15 minutes? Having to delay or extend your unloading time because someone that arrived just a few seconds ahead of you got in line first? Time is money here.

If you fuel at Loves 99.9% of the time as you say then that is a whole lot of extra time you waste at Loves. Missing one load each month can amount to hundreds of dollars. But you will at least have that $80 in Love points, and you will need it considering all the time you will be having to sit and wait there both in the fuel line and the parking lot.

Petro and Pilot rewards may not compare to Loves but remember the real money is made by how fast you can do your job.

I'd never call any truck stop overstaffed, but Loves seems to have the most understaffed, penny-pinching employment rules of any of them. Four trucks waiting at the shop at a given moment, but the mechanics aren't allowed to work any overtime. "End of shift, youre gone", the Loves "customer first" mantra.

I think some positives need to be looked at here.
What about the drivers that want to shower their flea ridden dogs in the truck stops? Can you think of a better place than Love's?

I'd try different truck stops. Some mom and pop's place being there forever and super nice. They'd even give you free coffee, snacks, and showers with +50 gal fuel purchases. Once you know where they're located it stays in your memory life time. I'd go to those places rather big corperations. The corperations run out hand meaning underpaid unhappy employees take it out of on their customers (truck drivers).
They were there before I was born and they would be there after I am gone.
