KR is not a real trucker but is an Opportunist. He will sell anything that he can make money on and have no idea how it works or if it does work. 90% of the stuff he promotes is crap to waste money on. No real value to a trucker in today's conditions.

I could be wrong but I feel most are the "same route" everyday drivers, or close to it. and most probably weren't around when we had 10 hr driving days, back when you could stop the clock, remember? I sure do! was actually a lot better far as I'm concerned.
BUT BUT BUT.... it's not the Elog it's the HOS. Yes the HOS sucks I agree, but so does having a tracker stuck up your ###. Never even owned a cell phone until about 11 yrs ago, but still did a good job delivering my loads with use of my Atlas. All these fancy comforts in trucks today with the fancy gadgets, has created a bunch of softies who I truly feel forget at times what they are actually driving. I could be wrong... but just watch the trucks around you today, look at the slack ### attire many wear today, pajamas just like this guy in Baltimore Friday. He had just pulled out from the dock and walked back to get his papers and close his doors. This is what we are being replaced with!

Agreed. I see it all the time. I also, at least 5 times a day have to avoid having my right mirror removed by steering wheel holders just like the bum above. I give them a shout on the radio, no response. I let the horn go, no response. I finally get to look them in the eye, cab to cab and they're on the phone or playing with some electronic device!

Yes, I remember the days when the 14 could be stopped.

There was a time when it was the four wheelers I had to worry about and I could trust the professionals I shared the roads with. Ironically, it's is now the exact opposite. Most of the trucks are complete steering wheel holders. I try to take routes now that are as less populated with any other trucks the best I can. I also avoid truck stops as much as possible because I'm tired of my truck getting banged up by these losers too.

Baltimore is one of the worst places in the entire country. Even it's citizens are trash (I was born and raised there). That meat in the seat above is right at home there! IMG_20170626_143935086.jpg

What are you implying????This guy looks old school to me. Those steel toe flip flops, aero discs on the truck and skirts on the trailer scream that he and his plastic truck will use the latest breakdown app to get roadside out there for a gladhand seal leak. On a lighter note, guys like this are ruining this industry, slobs that they are.

I truly believe that the consensus today about truckers is that they/we are a bunch of dumbhasses. Nobody with any sense would try and make a living driving a truck today. If you want to make money in trucking, find a way to make money off trucking. Such as KR does. OOIDA does. This Forum does. Mechanics do. Truck stops do. Huge money to be made OFF trucking. Just not in the drivers seat anymore.

I feel like an idiot trying to make a living driving a truck now. I'm an OO with my own flat. Do all my own maintenance. Putting new bushings in front end at the moment. I love my truck. Love driving it. Just don't like all the regs and BS associated with the business now as a driver/owner.

I go to the truck shows and Louisville convention(Mid America Truck Show) and see hundreds of people making a living OFF trucking. They LOVE trucking. Well yeah...they do....because they are home every night and don't have to put up with all the regulations that limit a drivers ability to do his job and make a living. Try limiting business owners to the same working hours that drivers work and you would see an uproar of dissent. People work much longer hours ,in a lot of professions, than we are allowed to do. Then they get in their car and drive home.

Anyone who drives a vehicle on public roads should have to abide by the 14 hour clock. In the name of safety, of course.

The Government needs to come out and do what they really want to do. Limit all truck drivers hours and pay. Just go ahead and pass a law saying all truck drivers WILL be paid 35,000 a year and work 9 hours a day. No exceptions. That's 9 hours a day driving and loading and unloading. Put a tracking collar around every drivers neck 24/7. 365 days a year. After all, we are nothing but roadway killers and criminals anyway.....RIGHT???!!!!

Yes Sir, you are picking up what I'm laying down lol :D. One thing the industry needs anymore is a dress code!! When other truck drivers look at you like an idiot what does the everyday public think? Wear what you want inside the truck but outside, at least try to look like you have a thimble full of self respect. Y'all be safe out there.
