Looking to take over an Owner/Operator's business.

Hey all, I am an experienced flatbedder looking to venture out on to my own. I am aware of the challanges I face and the potential for failure that exists so I'm not looking for advice. My motto for life is "Set sail, correct course along the way". I'd appreciate a minimum of "IMOs" and "my 2 cents".

Really I am looking for an owner operator who is thinking of leaving the business, or at least the truck and who would like to see another driver take care and put the business to good use. I would like the personal touch of a one on one agreement versus leasing onto a large company. However, if you are leased onto a large company, we can talk about that as well.

My career goals include becoming an experienced winter driver, and also a OD/Heavy hauler. Right now, I'll stick with flatbed work though so I am looking for an O/O who is pulling something similar.

We will make this a one-on-one transaction and have a lawyer write a contract up to protect ourselves. I would make weekly or monthly payments to pay for the business including the truck, and contracts, trailer, and equipment.

OK, so I am looking to buy an established business, not just equipment. I am also looking to do this with weekly or monthly payments backed by a contract the we make up. Is this what you are selling or just the truck?

So for all that are confused by my intentions, I am looking to buy a BUSINESS with owner financing that is mutually benficial for both parties, if this isn't you, go share your thoughts elsewhere.
