Comparing leases I'm using $1.50 per mile to the truck per mile.
$1200 per week for the truck and insurance
$1000 per week in fuel.
2500-3000 miles per week.
$4500 gross to the truck
$2500 in expenses
$2000 per week net before taxes.
I know probably $1000 should go towards maintenance, but I don't like maintenance accounts managed by the company,if you have any problems, youll never recover your money.
How many lease guys net $2000 per week unless they have a really tiny truck payment?
How can people run for less than $1.50 per mile?
I'm thinking my $1000 net for being a lowly company driver with no risk, lets me sleep better at night.
Thoughts?

Insurance and truck is 1200.00 a week, and fuel is a 1000.00. Where is the 2500.00 expenses coming in? Are is this 2500.00 plus the 2200.00?
If so your in the hole!Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
I'm rounding the truck and fuel, and figure a few scale tickets etc.
$2500 is total for truck,fuel,and expenses. -
Numbers sound about right to me.

Ok, still floors me how much you guys pay for leases.
So 1440.00 after taxes per week, not bad but I would set up a maintenance account on my own and put the 440.00 in it. Check with a CPA on how you can make this non taxable; and if you never use it..then pay in the end, so the 440.00 become more before you tax the 2k.Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
Who the heck pays $1200 per WEEK in a trk payment and insurance??
A Brand new W-900 with 150k PH/D on it wont cost you $1200 a week (Assuming you finance the whole truck)

Need $30k down payment on a newer truck...wish I had it
These companies get big discounts buying new trucks, run them to 400k mileage under warranty, then lease them at $1200 per week or want $70k for the truck... Insanity. -
Fuel
3000 miles
7 mpg
$2.49 per gallon.
I know there are discounts, just using a ballpark figure.
