That is my issue. if we went back to the old way of logging, the 8/10 and allow me to stop the clock, I would be fine.

For the most part, you are correct. You're an A Game driver. All or nothing and to hell with company policy. (I salute you BTW)
The HOS is only one issue. Company policy programmed into the elogs added to the equation will land many between a rock and a hard place.
The feds made a provision with the OSOW regs because we couldn't get off the roads for the 30min break. They will have to figure a way out of the mess they are creating now. All we need is some goofball politician's moronic offspring to run down the road and smash in the back of a truck.W9onTime, Justrucking2 and Lepton1 Thank this. -
Hey hey hey hey hey...
... don't talk about Eric like that!!!
ChaoSS Thanks this. -
This 14hr/10hr rule is complete flaw. Not the elog. The HOS rule is the issue. Why not just have 8 off duty hours then the rest of these, do want to do for those 16 hours.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Mandatory ankle bracelets!!! U know, to make sure your in the sleeper when you say u are
-
How about mandatory every 6 months we all go retake our CDL skills test and air brake quiz, u know just to make sure we still know it.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Mandatory in cab breathalyzer!!! U know, just to make sure we're not drinking/
I'm sure scared of those truckersLepton1 Thanks this. -
Aren’t the same rules in effect whether it’s paper or elogs??? Is the issue you can ‘edit’ your paper logs to make the unusual circumstance disappear.... or that your unusual circumstance is on record?
Your truck doesn’t magically turn off when your in ‘violation’ ..... get to a safe place and shut it down.....Find a better job if the ‘suits’ bust your balls.....Last edited: Oct 19, 2017

Yes i agree we were having a bit of a debate about using low gear down a steep incline instead of using brakes it was amazing just how many drivers just don't know how dangerous it is to use brakes down a mountain and the consequences if they fail.Lepton1 Thanks this.
