Sorry I really do not mean to hijack this thread but I seriously cannot figure out how to open a new thread. Your feedback would help or direct me how to start my own...
I have a 2011 Freightliner m2 business class. Truck builds air fine, but when you apply throttle when driving the air will leak down about 10psi, it sounds similar to the spitter valve but continuous, then the compressor kicks on and builds air pressure back up to normal (you can hear the air leak from the cab & see pressure drop on both air gauges). The weird part is that the air leak only happens when you apply throttle and are in gear, if you let off the throttle the air leak stops. I replaced the dryer filter, spitter valve and new governor, nothing helped...scratching my head on this one.
I cant seem to figure out why applying throttle would cause air to leak from the system...maybe this truck has a air throttle.
Its hard to find the leak since it only does it while driving down the road and not when you are parked in neutral (only in gear over 1500 rpm). I do not get any warning light or check engine lights either nor do I notice any loss in power.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
