Yes you will go broke running off the load board IF you don't know your numbers. But at this stage in your game I'm sure you know your operating cost to the tenth of a penny. I'm my personal experience I have only found that insurance gets cheaper the older I get. Pick up the phone and get some insurance quotes its that simple.

 

Retire get your truck leased to a good company and put a driver in it. Manage the back end and enjoy the time.

You'll run. But you can scratch out $1800 or better a week after all your overhead.

It's not all bad, and they have an excellent wrench that will keep you up and running pretty cheap.
