If I had to start over and my Pete quit... I'd go that route, as well. Might 'hide' my tail from Tall Mike and Wore out for a few, but unless I could get into some old iron reasonably yeah, haha! (....that's just what i'd do as well. You tried, man. Power in effort. Always.)

No shame in the game of turning and burning. At all. Who knows who'll retire first? Me or the Purdy Pete.. anybody's guess.

Sitting here in Minneapolis empty, waiting on load planner to remove their head from the fourth point of contact so I can make some money... at least my dispatcher is expressing the same level of WTF that I am.

You will have that!...... it's an ongoing story there with the so called planners. It's my opinion they (the planners) are reactionary people and not planners.

Yeppers. Because most of them are trying to plan WAY too many trucks at the same time.

That's my horse before we rolled out this morning. Loading now in Ft. Dodge to head to Spanish Fork, Utah, which is not right outside SLC, it's right outside of Provo. Going to be a very pretty ride up and the weather looks good...of course it may not have gotten the memo that I'm on my way...lol.

    More later...

ISX. Set to 65 on the foot, 68 on the tree. Runs very smooth and quiet. Engine brake will throw you up in the seatbelt if you spin the rpms up a little. Going to be a bit over 78k with this load, we'll find out what it's made of around Elk Mountain.

Yeah, and there's a little scratch on the right side, but I can live with it.

    Airborne and Oxbow Thank this.
