First time for it, but got a decent load. Too bad it involved having to untarp in high winds this morning... besides, I owe them till next July. The joys of company paid for CDLs.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Why, the other day I went to close my van doors after being loaded and the upper latch wouldn't catch right because I was on a slight angle.

Do you know that I had to get back in the truck and move it forward a little to get on a more level surface! What a hassle, I tell you.

Well, not being to good at setting around with a load on me, I went back to sleep for a couple hours and jumped into the fire. Doing a 30 now in Eastern Nebraska and man is it blowing. Once I made it back to 80, it got a little easier as I was able to stack on a little wood to the fire and push my way through it a little better. Still, it's a rough row to hoe on 80 today. Just have to do the best I can.

    More later...

Pulling tarps in the wind, on or off can make for some fun.
chains and binders come in handy here.

When the tarp is on the ground, use the chains and binders for weights. when your pulling them on, take a few chains up with you. roll out the tarp part way, use the chain for weight, then when you get the non windward side down, hook the chain in some of the D rings from a corner and across the tarp. lower over the side.
Should be enough to give you time to pin everything down.

should be a prorated thing, as the months go by, the amount goes down. don’t worry about that, ways to make it go away

GI Bill, VA training programs, WIOA...why in the bluest of blue hells did you go through a company sponsored program? That said, a year passes much faster in the civilian world than it does while wearing the uniform.

Man that just has all the sound of a first world problem.
Really, you would expect the ground around a loading dock to be flat, level and even. The abuse one has to put up with.

Is an option as well. It is a nice ride for sure.
