    Next I will go to cummins. But Peterbilt didn’t help on this. They said they can get me labels which originally came with truck from manufacturer.

    I went to cummins they are printing that Engine Data plate again. They said it will take one week. They took all engine information and VIN no.
    Now problem is this sticker which says this equipment is solely for export.

    Hello friends... How are you all doing!!
    As I mentioned in previous messages i was in process of importing semi into US from canada. Unfortunately i couldn’t import it as i tried lot to convince US customs but they didn’t get agree. Even i tried to import it with a registered importer (RI) but he said when customs officials reject any merchandise to enter then it becomes nightmare to convince them.
    Therefore i am selling this truck in Canada. There is one buyer from Toronto and he is interested to buy it.
    Now i have only $45000 USD and i want to buy other truck here in midwest. I m
    From Pittsburgh PA. Can you suggest me which truck i can go for this price. What about a pre emission 2006-2007 year CAT engine trucks.
    Please advise

    Did you try using a customs broker to import? Possibly you need professional advice. I have always checked all details before importing/exporting trucks between the two countries as they always seeming to be changing rules and regs either side of border.

    Yes i talked to couple of brokers and registered importer but they said we are not sure if customs would allow to get it acrossed. So now i have put it on sale. Also one RI told me there was same issue with other truck and customs has seized that truck at border. So I don’t want to take risk again.

    Probably. 2006 emissions controls would require egr, which your 96 engine wouldn't have.
