This is my go to guy here in town. This is a push by his customer. He has 90 of these to move and it has to be done ASAP. They're all going to New Orleans. I'm hoping it sticks, it would be easy money.

I was going to make 1000.00 on a short run up to Joplin and head in to get the new truck ready. I get over there and it doesn't ship until Friday. They put the girl in sales on that requested the truck in the first place and she said ship it short, the load needs to move. They called the receiver and they said, ship it short and we'll refuse it. So I got 200.00 TONU pay and came in empty. I had money going in so I'm not worried about it but it's still really annoying. Not the broker's fault but no communication at the shipper.

Truck is getting the APU on today. I'm glad I did end up coming in as there was some miscommunication regarding the truck. I'm having them put a grab-handle and catwalk on it. And I'm having a frame rail mounted tool box with integrated step put on. This APU takes up too much space under the bunk because of the layout the truck maker used under there for the inverter and truck HVAC system. Then the guys installing my graphics missed the memo this was to be done at the dealer. In my emails to them I clearly said when and where to be so, that will be done tomorrow afternoon sometime.
Because of my breakdown in PA I haven't been back for a month and I had a bunch of checks waiting on me. Deposited just over $12k in the bank today, that made my day much better after spending my day over here putting out fires so that this new truck is completed by Friday.Dave_in_AZ, HopeOverMope and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
Thats awesome! must feel great. Best of luck to you..Misesian Thanks this. -
Even though I had the massive expense of the camshaft failure, hotel, day cab rental, etc I still made 1000.00 this month with a week of down time. I spent some time last night and finally got around to recalculating my expenses based on my averages so far. I do everything in a spreadsheet and I'll put that below. You'll see some loads that are big money and some I lose a little on. It's all about making these things work together. This month could have been HUGE if it wasn't for the camshaft failure.

Misesian I know you do reefer. Looking to make a change from dry van. And recently seen some good deals on great Dane reefer trailers. You avg about 3k miles a week with hard running. What would you say a reefer trailer eats in fuel for 3k miles??? I know reefer pays more than dry van just trying to figure if the extra is only for reefer fuel? Thank you.
PS. What's you're new truck??Dave_in_AZ and BoostedTeg Thank this.
