1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I have tried several times to contact USIS to get a copy of my DAC report. You can not get anyone on phone when you call them you get a recording that says leave name and number and they will call you back of which they never do, my computer will not down load their form to request this information. Now isn't that just like the government, OH yes we have this service and its free, what a joke. Also I think this last 4 years of BUSH has not some of my worst years in trucking, I have made less money these last years .

Write USIS a simple letter asking them for a DAC report request form. Send it certified.

Why they are not answering the phone I don't understand. They answered the phone for me almost right away. Sent me a form immediately. I filled it out, sent it back, and they got it back to me in 15 days.

Hello! I am new to the forum and looking to get back into trucking. I might have a job lined up with an outfit, but they need to see my DAC first, of course. My driving record is clean and the only worry I have is a company that I was at for a short time back in 2001. I left there about May, 01. So my question is this: based on what was posted above my DAC would not show any negative info concerning this job. Only my employment dates, type of equipment etc., right?

So I am just trying to make sure it's seven years from last date of employment (May, 2001-May, 2008 ) not seven calender years (2001-end of 2008 ).

    Thanks again for the help!

The reason there is no data from 10-years ago is that a DAC report falls under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Data under the FCRA may only remain on the report for 7-years.

DAC stands for Driver Accountancy Corporation. They are considered to be a "Credit Reporting Agency" for Professional driver's work histories. They are only used by companies that pay them a fee for their information. A lot of smaller companies don't use them because of the costs involved.
