    I had a good teacher, who never rode along, but I learned in NYC later. A 1 inch wide tape measure comes in handy. So does practice. Out of the city but in Empire state, who knows?

    Jersey traffic control is becoming more common, too. All turns from the right lane, like the primary highways (divided roadways) in PA.

    I have several of those maps, going back to 2007 or earlier. There is nothing like being lost in NYC, though, map or not.

    What's really awesome about being unsure of what to do with that big semi in downtown is that everyone on the block knows you don't live there. They usually point one way or the other down the street saying the GW is that way. LOL. Waitaminute buster, forgetaboutthatGWB, I want this address see? Right heare.. this address..

    Oh that. You will never get a semi in there. Forgetabout it.

    It seems that every sentance in NYC has some form of forgetaboutit involved.

    Oh, man, it can be a waking nightmare, especially during the day.

    And even at night. I have been helped by locals more than once. Going under the Gowanus (3rd Ave?) isn't that fun.

    Y'all are talking foreign to me and I aim to keep it that way. My truck only goes south or west of Atlanta and back with an occasional run to the east out to the coast. North is not in its vocabulary past north Carolina. Lol
