Yeah and it blew my GPA. Ended up with a 3.67. Not exactly stellar for a business major.

I am the car hauler they interviewed. The interview was almost an hour long. Surprise surprise they cut most of what I said out.

I said something to the effect that "if all these companies are willing to pay is peanuts there is a good chance there won't be enough monkeys to drive there trucks"

"no one should have to stay away from home weeks or months at a time for less than 100K a year"

And that "there are companies including the one that I work for that gives drivers the opportunity to make over 100K a year. The drivers just have to put in the effort. And a lot of drivers would rather complain about how little they make than to do what it takes to make more"

Maybe no one should drive OTR that expects to have much more time at 'home'.
    Simple as that.

Because we live in the truck.
Home times are just visits. We do not live there.

And it is not months, it is usually 3-6 weeks out before a home time.
But still, we actually live in the truck and a home time is just a visit for a few days.

And if you think your making what you deserve that is great.

Myself and many other top performers that I know are not going to live in a truck and just visit our homes and not earn top pay. There are a lot of drivers that are home everyday and earn over 100k a year.

Maybe I mis spoke in the interview and there are more monkeys than I thought willing to work for peanuts.
