Looks like I'm not going to try the dual pressure Permco. Going to turn my pump back down and hook back up to my 30ft dump trailer. Made more pulling rock and sand then I am running a walking floor. Oh well, just need to find somewhere to go. Not sure I can lease back to the company I was with.

Was it the rates or work load?
I always wondered why so many owner operators from Florida come to New Jersey to haul mulch in the late spring to early summer.
Its getting tougher to do it as a full time business here also, the rates for chips and grindings have dropped due to a glut in material.
Good luck to You! -
Rates are pretty low plus wait times make it hard to get anything done. Most of the loads are overweight as well. I'm permitted up to 88k. Hauling a lot over 90k. Seen a few that ended up around 94k

The mulch Company that i have seen out of state trucks working for them do similar tactics, require trucks to haul 80 Cubic Yards of black dyed mulch which can gross up to 100K with the liquid injected dye, and if its fresh and wet, thats 20k overweight, in New Jersey 80k is the max.

First check average is $181 per load on 17 loads before brokerage and all other deductions. Did about 1450 miles and about 65 hours.
