Better yet, wait until the end of the year and find a previous year new truck you can be happy with that is heavily discounted and incentivized.

That's what I did the end of 2015, bought a 2016 model as they were rolling in the 2017 models. Had a pre-approval letter in hand from my bank to purchase. Everything went smooth as ice. Got what I wanted on my trade, they moved a new truck off their lot.

Sorry to say they got hosed on the trade side though :)

That's the build sheet pricing. If the salesman won't talk to you find another dealer or salesman. He's an ###.

He has since contacted me about how no one pays the build sheet price. What I don’t get is why bother to have a fake price to give to customers. Looks like I can get a basic 860 for about 165K

That's almost like the Ford dealer opening the negotiations on a 1987 Ford Ranger that was 24 years old at the time at $3900. When I started to walk away, he tried to tell me "That's how negotiations work...I started high, you counter-offer, and we agree somewhere in between!"

I told him the price he shot me was too ridiculous to waste my time negotiating, as it was already twice what I was expecting his "high open" to be. Even if I started at $0 and we met in the middle, it would still be more than I was willing to pay. Find another sucker.

    $159k seems average.

A lot of times these dealers don't include the FET in the posted price.

I'm sure sully can get you financed... course if you can't pony up your kneecaps suffer

Seriously though my buddy Bob went through this website about 2 years ago, he brought in $5000 down, had a credit rating of 625 because of a divorce from a year before, and was able to get financed on a new 2014 kw at the end of the model year. Claims they were easy to work with.

To save 70k? I'd make the time. Be the most money you "made" in a day in your whole career. And then let that guy do all the leg work after you shake hands and kiss babies.

    Everyone gets sick. (cough) ;)
