Self-driving shuttle crashes in Las Vegas hours after launch

Thats just dumb, traveling at the speed of light is not how you travel the universe, galaxy to galaxy.

Think like this, a light bulb light travels away from the source.... we need to stay stationary and space and time around us needs to move...

Now comprehend the amount of energy that will take.

 

We will more likely send technology to other solar systems first. Like nanobots. They can carry human DNA so that long after our sun goes Nova humans can still exist elsewhere. It’s like our gift to the galaxy. Make sure humans spread over there even if we are gone here.

 

If I'm ever in a wreck, I have a driverless vehicle sticker to slap on the door right before I hide in the bunk, ready to pretend I just woke up.... what,, what happened???!? Then, no drug test right?

 

Send the shuttle driver to the electric chair he's obviously defective lol

Well.thats unknown as we have no idea how to move it/manipulate it but I do concede it would likely take a great deal of energy.
My thought is if we could find a way to show space time down around our selves and them travel at a high rate of speed we could possibly travel interstellarly. Then again that sounds an awful lot like time travel except only forward and essentially would be time travel.
I'm sure smarter minds then ours have already had these thoughts and theories yet have no applicable ability to test or implement them.....
Now I'm just rambling but have I love star wars and Star trek and all the space sci fi ####... So it would be awesome.

I use to play a game called EvE online.... I was a hauler.... Yes I spent my free time hauling freight through space in a video game.... Pretty sure I know what I would be if I was living in the star wars universe ... A trucker I mean freight hauler captain dude

 

I'll ask how interstellar travel works the next time those little grey fellers come here in one of their new disk shaped flying cars. They always claim they're just checking my prostate, but I'm only 34, and I don't remember much after they tell me that. Is this normal for anyone else? BTW I got to meet Elvis on that flying car.

 

Not until you slow down as until you slow down I don't think you can hear the Sonic booms..
But that's the speed of sound not light MUCH slower

 

The theory of relativity states the faster you go, the slower time relative to you. So you approach light speed for 1 year when you stop you find 100 years as passed on earth.


Mean i really didn't mean to hijack this thread. I only mentioned traveling the stars as an example of some other high tech thing that's simply not going to happen in my life time. Our kids will see the day that autonomous vehicles are the norm, but we won't.
