well i did not think it would be necessary and some places its not allowed because what if they need the dock and the yard jockey needs to move the trailer? We might have to start using them now though its a new world where nothing is sacred.

Amazon is a cluster #### during the holidays. Lines would go out the gates all the way into the streets and trailers would be drop anywhere where they can find a space to put it in. Normally they're pretty good at tracking trailers. In the past, they would put GPS trackers on both your tractor and trailer, but they always try new things and change things up all the time though. Nowadays they normally put bar code stickers for both tractor and trailer and use their scanners to check you in. Usually they'll ask for a trip number at the security gate, unless you're USPS and maybe UPS and FedEx. And sometimes they'll hand you check in papers which shows where to drop your trailer and where to pickup if it's already preloaded. In the past, you were allowed to park in front of your trailer if it's in a dock. If the the trailer is dropped in the yard at a slot number, you have to unhook and park your tractor at the designated waiting area. Normally they'll come out and get you when your load is ready, but sometimes they'll hand you a buzzer letting you know your load is done. I've seen a lot more Amazon Prime Trailers nowadays compared to a year ago, so I guess they're finding a lot of O/O's to pull these loads now.

Cluster #### would be an understatement. Well we lost our reload, i will have to compensate my driver because this is not his fault and they caused us a lot of aggravation. On a positive note the lady was really helpful and worked diligently for the past few hours working to track down our trailer. At the end of the day we are greatful to have our trailer back. And for all the Amazon loads we have run this is the only hickup. This has opened our eyes however and now we will have to look into some sort of tracking for our trailers.

I’ve never been an owner op nor do I plan on it but if I was told to drop my trailer in a door and come back later you bet your sweet saggy tits I’d have a kingpin lock on it. I might even run a chain through the wheels too.

Put a glad hand lock on the blue service line. That way the yard switcher can move it around if needed and no one will take it on a public road (I hope). However, Amazon might not want you too...
