Not completely useless as it provides a 'speedbump' to someone taking it. Like getting them to ask the question of "Should I be taking this one?"
If someone wants to steal, you are correct though.
I'm glad the op got his trailer back without too much hassle. Did Amazon compassionate you for their screw up? For you loosing a load and defiantly loosing a days work dealing with it? -
I had to go to that same Amazon in Hazel Park, MI a couple weeks ago to retrieve one of our trailers that Amazon sent there with a outside contractor, without letting our co. know. If it wasn't for tracking system we have on our trailers now, my company would not know were it was. Amazon is good at doing this without consent from companies.
Vintage Thanks this. -
will have to wait until monday but yes i am sure they will go to bat for us we have been working with those guys for a long time now and we have a good rapport with them...it wont be anything close to the load i lost but i am sure we will get something.

Anytime I've ever wanted to make sure a trailer I dropped wasn't going anywhere, I pull out an adjustable wrench and pull the bung-hole plug out of the air tank on the trailer. Makes it hard to steal when you can't air the brakes up, and nobody that I'm aware of carries a spare tank plug with them.
SoDel, lilillill, DoneYourWay and 10 others Thank this. -
The trailer right next to yours has one ripe for the taking. Lol. If they want they will takeFeedman, Steel Dragon, Bakerman and 1 other person Thank this.

Amazon....the company putting every other retail store out of business that isn’t named Wal-Mart or Target (but hurting both), raking in billions every year, and paying warehouse workers $12/hr, yard jockeys $14/hr, and managers $17/hr.

On another note, reading posts like this makes me realize even more how happy I am to be in a daycab running linehaul and going back to the house every morning... -
Some of the yard dogs I've seen probably wouldn't even notice as they dragged it through the yard and if the did notice wouldn't let it deter them from moving it. thump thump thump time for new tires
