@Chewy352 pulled it off, quite commendably, back a few years. Wish he were still around to throw ya some advice. Look up some of his old threads. Quite the hand, man.

No, stayed there 2 months and then worked for my brother. I drive under his numbers with my truck now.

That's a good / great set up. I'm blessed with a sorda similar gig atm (last almost 8 years) myself. Blessing. We all started somewhere, tho~!

Almost thinking the O/P might want to look at a 1099'er at this point in time, tbh.

The day I quit learning is the day I hang up the keys; and almost 20 years out here. It's a 'must have' mindset out here; things get tougher on the daily, with what we deal with on the roads!

Bring your 'A' game all the time, as Six would say; best chance we've got!

Yup, just take them slow and you'll be good to go. You'll always get some super trucker or idiot 4 wheeler who is glued to your bumper, in a hurry to go nowhere ... Don't pay them no attention.

    G13Tomcat and 1278PA Thank this.

I literally felt my seat raising and didn't know what was going on. Then I realized my windshield was slowly going from parallel to perpendicular with the road. I had just enough time to look in my mirror and see my trailer doing a 45° when the whip effect happened. I swore I could count every pebble of asphalt that passed under while I slid a good 300ft. Thank God I had my seatbelt on. When I realized what had happened I was suspended about 7ft in the air and thought "Oh lord, accident, I need my hazards." In retrospect, I should've steered into it. But ultimately, I shouldn't have taken that load.

ladr, Lepton1 and G13Tomcat Thank this.
