The Anytone Smart is what I have in my POV. I actually got the idea from a pic another TR member posted a few months ago of his install. Thanks, Trucker's Report! Got it in the same spot as you in my 09 Hyundai Sonata and it performs great!

I have a Uniden 510 in my Toyota pickup, about the only radio that will fit. I think it's smallest radio built but very good quality.

Think that Anytone Smart CB will fit just about anywhere...Heck you could even clip it to the sun-visor if you needed to.rabbiporkchop and Blaskowitz Thank this.

My question about the Anytone Smart is “How dependable”?
When you need the radio, you really need it. Size and price won’t matter then.
Thx -
The 520XL gets my vote. It has an ANL which reduces the noise a lot. The Cobra 19 does not.
If price is not an issue, President has some full-featured compact radios. Cobra 19 size, Cobra 29 features.jessejamesdallas Thanks this. -
I have been running an anyone smart radio for 2 years no issues it puts out and receive well
Jazz1 and Slowmover1 Thank this. -
Since this thread was started, I changed radios to a President McKinley in this truck (think I may have posted this somewhere already, but here go's...)

Jesse, that McKinley looks good too. Personally that Uniden 680 looked awesome in your truck. Looked like it was factory made for your truck. I am not sure but seem like the 680 didn’t get much of a chance, seems like Uniden for some reason came out with the 880, and the 980 shortly afterwards and overshadowed the 680. Uniden didn’t make that radio very long anyway. As time goes on maybe you can let us know what you think how the two radios compared to each other. I like the front speaker mount on the McKinley for your type of install.

Difference between the McKinley and the 680 is like Night and Day! Just no comparison....About the ONLY thing the 680 has going for it, is it's size....Receive is "OK" but just ok...Channel rejection is almost non-existent...meaning anyone within a couple hundred feet of you will bleed over onto your channel...
IMO Uniden could have done a little more with the 680 and had a decent radio...another problem I ran into with the 680, was sometimes for no reason at all, it would start scanning channels...(this is not a feature on the 680...you would be talking on channel 19 and next thing you know, your on 17!)
That front-firing speaker on the McKinley by the way...Is NOT some junky walkie-talkie speaker... This thing is more like a BOSS speaker...Has a huge magnet on the back the same size as the speaker itself...Only reason I'm using a external speaker, is because I already had it hooked-up...don't really need it.
But I do agree...The 680 looked like it came with the truck. -
Okay, very good. I really hadn’t heard much about the 680 review wise, and I don’t know anyone that owns one. For a compact radio, I always thought it was a nice looking radio, of course it’s performance that counts.
I really haven’t heard or read any bad reviews on the McKinley. I kind of look at the McKinley radio as the modern day EF Johnson cb radio. Looks like it has quality built into it. Thanks for the update, I appreciate it.jessejamesdallas Thanks this.
