Last week I spent an hour per side removing the hazmat decals because the darn things were riping off in 1 cm strips. I have a spackling knife but it wasn't helping much.

Any tips or suggestions on how to remove them?

I carry a small propane torch. Heat them up a little and have at them with the putty knife and they come right off

Bug spray, like "Off!" If you spray it and let it soak for a minute or two, it eats right through the glue but won't damage the paint, should scrape off easily after that.

Perhaps a orange spray used for cleaning. Light acid might do the trick. (Citrus acid from oranges...) Wet it down and then scrape.

In my day we used a battleship grey spray can PFFTH done. Slap another on top when necessary.

Thanks for tips! Definitly think I should invest in a different scapper as well.

Use a plastic scraper to reduce the chances of cutting through paint. Bug spray is a good idea as mentioned. Acetone can be very harsh on paint as well it will eat fibreglass so using acetone you cannot leave it on too long.
