No one can post net because everyone’s tax rate is different. Also can’t post net because unknown amount of miles a driver will make bud.

Comparing to mega is what is mainly used because their rates are more open and easier access.

Yeah there is good money in it FOR YOU but what about the driver? You may think a driver is a driver but that's not true.I for instance like long runs to different places.Tried those 350-400 miles runs and I quit this job after 4 days.Driving in OH is not the same as driving in TX or NM.

You also don't know the additional costs of an employee above the salary. $600 a month for workman comp, 2% for unemployment, roughly 6-7% employment taxes. My dr8ver also costs an additional 5k a year because he is under 40 and has a 1 year old speeding ticket. There are many costs that aan employee never sees. With benefits and all else you can add an additional 40% to his wage and be close. At the end of the day my driver makes more than i do for that truck.

I have a driver, just hired number two. Thank you for putting that out there. A lot of overhead goes into this business, especially when you move past one or two trucks.

No kidding. As I stated from the get go I knew you were talking gross... Obviously if it was $1000 take home a week will a full compliment of benefits that would be good. But that's not the case.

You run a legit outfit. If Most companies would be required to operate as this in the industry, we wouldn't have all the fly by night crap going on with all the 1099 operations.

I mean who you plan on working for Swift. You'll be broke, if I ever had to work with a mega would have to be Crete. Not pimping them my friend is building up cash for his authority and he's o/o there after fuel and insurance he's at about 2k a week. Not the greatest but it's defintily better than Swift or Western Express.
