Ah finally somebodies realized that the boot legging days during the great depression all those that benefited from it just moved on to bigger and better things. Same old story someone's worked out how to fleece the system and bribe the politicians at the same time.

 

have you got any facts to back up your suspicions

 

Gas stations are not exactly profiting on gasoline too much. The real profits is in the coffee, snacks etc at big markups.

Gasoline sells with about a .07 cent profit over taxes, whole sale cost of each gallon to the owner or owners. Assuming about 3000-6000 gallons sold per day roughly non holiday sales in ours that I helped run for a number of years off road.

 

have to agree about the Chinese in MB ,in our area they bought every hotel/motel they could and now have moved on after a few yrs to ON or BC leaving the business and building run down. ( I was an immigrant as well from Scotland and I got ## all from the government ,it cost us a lot of money to become citizens)

 

Car washes, laser tag places and pedicure shops are better places to launder money.

 

I've laundered money before...coins usually show up in the bottom of the washer and paper bills come out in the dryer...'course since getting married, I haven't done but one or two loads of laundry, so it's been a while since I laundered any money.
